Mission and values

Mission

Every student deserves access to the tools that help them succeed, regardless of where they live, what school they attend, or whether they can afford extra classes.

ExamAnchor exists to level that playing field. We believe that a student studying alone in a small town deserves the same preparation as one with access to the best tutors in the city. That independent study, done well, can be just as powerful as any classroom. And that the best way to prepare for an exam is simply to practice, with the right papers, matched marking schemes, and the confidence to know where you stand.

We built ExamAnchor so that any student, anywhere, can walk into their exam prepared.

What we believe

Principles that guide what we build and how we treat the people who use it.

  1. Access should be the starting point, not a reward.

Past papers and marking schemes are the foundation of exam preparation. They should be free, complete, and easy to find, not scattered across the internet or locked behind paywalls.

  2. Students are more capable than they're given credit for.

Given the right tools, students can identify their own weaknesses, track their own progress, and improve on their own terms. We build for that independence.

  3. Time and distance shouldn't determine outcomes.

Not every student has a tuition centre nearby, or a parent who can drive them there. A student who studies at home should have every advantage that a student in a classroom does.

  4. Progress is personal.

There's no single right way to prepare. Some students work through every past paper methodically. Others focus on weak topics. ExamAnchor adapts to how you study, not the other way around.
